Mama Taraba: Atiku Reacts To Death Of Buhari’s Ex-Minister

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the death of former Minister of Women Affairs, Sen. Aisha Alhassan popularly known as ‘Mama Taraba.’

Atiku in his reaction said Mama Taraba will be sorely missed describing her as a compassionate, loyal, and deeply committed Nigerian.

It will be recalled as earlier reported by Naija News that Alhassan, a former Senator and Minister died on Friday, May 7 at the age of 61 in Cairo, Egypt.

Atiku in a statement on Friday evening in which he reacted to her death, prayed Allah to grant her soul eternal rest.

He wrote: “I am grieved by the death of former Minister of Women Affairs, Sen. Aisha Alhassan. I asked about her condition this afternoon after I called her number without a response! Inna lillahi wainna Ilaihi Rajiun!

May Allah forgive her sins and grant her Aljannah Fiddausi in this holy month. Ameen.

Mama Taraba as she was popularly known, was an accomplished civil servant, astute politician and patriot. She was compassionate, loyal and deeply committed to a better Nigeria.

She will be sorely missed. I really have lost a sister and a loyalist.
