Peter Obi of the Labor Party said no serious leader would take a vacation in Nigeria.
Obi, the party’s presidential candidate in the February 25 elections, revealed this on Monday when he visited the Muslim community at the Akwa Central Mosque on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. He urged that Nigerians not be divided on the basis of religion or politics.
“People who want to take a break can go and relax,” he said. I don’t feel comfortable resting because I have to visit schools and hospitals and interact with people.
No serious leader will sleep in Nigeria. We will continue to visit as many people as possible and support them as much as possible.”
We remember that President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Monday after a holiday of more than a month in Europe.
Meanwhile, Tinubu, in his speech after his return, said that he was ready to said he was ready to kick the ground running.
