…..Governor Obaseki, Philip Shaibu to the rescue
While the dust it generated in the handling of Lawani street road construction in Igarra, Akoko-Edo local government area is yet to settle, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has been exposed in yet another scandal – its shoddy handling of Ohanmi road in Owan East local government area of Edo state.
It was reported that the road failed just two months after the contractor Messrs Hunslow International Limited completed the project funded by the federal government.
The construction had a tittle of 4.0km Asphatic Road at Uokha to Ohami, Edo state.
We call on Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki to order his Deputy, Mr. Philip Shaibu to immediately visit the project site and subsequently announce a take-over.
We also expect him to handover the contractor and those involved at the federal agency to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and sister agency, ICPC just as in the case of Lawani street in Akoko-Edo.
For us @JohnMayaki.com, what’s sauce for the goose, is not bad for the gander.
