Police Arrests Fulani Man In Edo, Confesses To Kidnapping Victims Along Igarra Road

Saliu Sule, 35-year-old Fulani man arrested in Edo in connection to kidnapping

A man of Fulani origin has been arrested in Igarra, Akoko Edo local government area of Edo State.

Saliu Sule, 35, was arrested by operatives of the Edo State police command.

He was arrested on Tuesday night in connection to several abductions in the metropolis.

Sule and his alleged gang saw a routine patrol police vehicle along Igarra-Ibillo road and attempted to run.

He was caught after a stern chase while his cohorts fled into the bush.

The alleged career kidnapper confessed, saying, “I rob and kidnap along Igarra road with other members who are Fulani herdsmen.”

He told the officers that he is a “cattle rearer” but was lured into “armed robbery”.

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bello kontongs, said Investigation into the matter is in progress.

SP kontongs said, “strong efforts have been put in place to arrest other fleeing members of the gang”.
