It is the last month of the year, which consists of many events and happenings that are hardly ever forgotten in someone’s memory. The outgoing year was challenging, very special, and emotional for many Nigerians. A lot of events have occurred in different sectors of government as well as private organizations. Undoubtedly, it is hard for Nigerians to forget the following happenings in the country: The Death of Pastor TB Joshua, the Demise of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, and the Arrests of Mazi Nnamadi Kanu

The death of pastor TB Joshua

The founder of the synagogue church of All Nation, Pastor TB Joshua, passed away on June 5, 2021, after one of his evening services in Lagos. When Pastor TB Joshua died earlier this year, many people travelled from different parts of the world, including the USA, to attend his five-day funeral and pay their last respects to the controversial pastor who lay visible throughout the proceedings in a glass coffin.

How did he have such a hold over people?

Any pastor who cares and helps the poor is my very own definition of Pastor TB Joshua. Apart from being a pastor, TB Joshua will be remembered as a helper of widows, the disabled, and the elderly. Thousands of people are still on scholarship today. He was a very generous and cheerful giver.

The Demise of COAS

On May 21, 2021, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, and ten other staff of the Nigerian armed forces died in a plane crash in Kaduna State. The plane was from Abuja to Kaduna on Friday, when the chief of army staff was on his way to attend the passing out of 80 regular recruits. This accident is rarely unforgettable because it was the first Chief of Army Staff that died in office.

The Arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

The leader was reportedly apprehended in Kenya on June 27, 2021. The main aim of Nnamdi Kanu and his group is to restore the separatist state of Biafra, which is located in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. Kanu’s arrest sparked anger among many Nigerians which they will never forget.
