A man, identified as Bem Matthew of Korinya-City, Konshisha Local Government Area, Benue State, has been arrested for fatally stabbing his wife.
The individual committed the crime at 7:03 a.m. on Tuesday, according to information.
Neighbors stormed the scene and caught the suspect, while the deceased’s body was brought to the mortuary.
The guy was subsequently apprehended by officers from the Konshisha Divisional Police Station.
Responding to interrogation at the police station, the suspect admitted to stabbing his wife to death because she was no longer “submissive to him.”
According to an eyewitness who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the dead was stabbed in the rib, back, and thigh.

According to reports, the man and his wife had four children.
The deceased’s remains were placed at the mortuary of Saint Joseph’s Clinic and Maternity in Korinya City.
Attempts to obtain a response from the Benue State Police Command were futile because the spokesperson, SP Catherine Anekwe, could not be reached for comment
