Speaker Tajudeen Abbas on Thursday announced about 134 standing that will run the affairs of the House for the next four years.
Among those who got committee appointment are immediate past Deputy Speaker of the House, Ahmed Idris Wase, who was given the Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character while the former Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Aliyu Betara was given the Chairmanship of FCT committee.
Former House Leader, Al Hassan Ado Doguwa, was given the chairmanship of the House Committee on Petroleum Upstream while his deputy, Peter Akpatason, was given the House Committee on Aviation.
Yusuf Adamu Gagdi was given the chairmanship of the Committee on Navy while another Speakership candidate, Aminu Jaki was given the committee on Ecological fund.
Hon James Abiodun Faleke and Hon Leke Abejide retained their chairmanship of the committees on Finance and Customs respectively while Abubakar Kabir Bichi, who headed the Works committee in the 9th Assembly, heads the Appropriation commiittee
