Dear Esteemed Workers of Edo State,

On behalf of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, I extend warm and heartfelt solidarity greetings to all workers in the Civil and Public Service of Edo State on the occasion of the 2025 International Workers’ Day.

This year’s celebration, themed “RECLAIMING THE CIVIL SPACE IN THE MIDST OF ECONOMIC HARDSHIP” resonates deeply with the challenges currently faced by workers across various sectors. It is a powerful reminder of the enduring strength, resilience and commitment of the Nigerian Worker especially those serving in our great State.

As we reflect on the significance of this day, I wish to commend the dedication, resilience, sacrifice and unwavering service that you continue to offer in advancing the development of Edo State. Your tireless efforts remain the backbone of our governance system and a vital part of our collective progress.

The Ministry remains steadfast in its commitment to creating a conducive working environment, promoting fairness and enhancing the welfare and professional growth of all personnel under its jurisdiction. We will continue to work closely with Labour Unions, Traditional Institutions and other Stakeholders to foster a system anchored on dignity, inclusion, and mutual respect.

As you join your Comrades across the Country in commemorating this day, I encourage you to remain united, optimistic, and committed to the values of integrity, service and excellence.
