Zamfara: Igbo Forum Backs Yari For APC National Chairmanship Position

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Igbo Forum Zamfara state chapter has endorsed the former governor of the state Hon. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar for National Chairmanship of the party.

The Forum’s Chairman, Chief Collins Ofodile, made this known while speaking to newsmen in Gusau on Sunday.

According to him, the former governor Abdulaziz Yari based on his vast experience in politics was the only person to lead the ruling party into winning the 2023 general elections.

“Based on our resolution, our Forum unanimously resolved to endorse Yari for national chairmanship position of the APC in the forthcoming National convention of the party,” Ofodile said.

He described Yari as a politician who has grassroots experience, considering his qualities of leadership as a two-term governor of Zamfara.

“It is well known fact that during his tenure, Yari had executed multi-million naira projects in every nooks and crannies in Zamfara state that has direct bearing on the people of the state,” he said.

He pointed out that Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar should be recognise and given the mandate for the APC national chairmanship for his efforts and struggle in building the party within and outside the state.

“We observed that, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar contributions toward the development of the APC in Zamfara made it the strongest political party in the state,” Ofodile said.
