2 Arrested In Adamawa For Snatching Tricycle

Two young men identified who are members of a criminal gang known as Shilla Boys in Adamawa State have been arrested for allegedly stealing a tricycle.

The two were picked up Tuesday by operatives of the Criminal Investigative Department of Adamawa State Police Command for snatching the tricycle.

The tricycle in question is also in the custody of the police.

A statement released by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, named the two suspects as Friday Bitrus, 20 years old and a resident of Kilbaji ward, Wauru Jabbe in Yola South local government area, and Abdulsalami Usman, 31 years old and a resident of Jambutu, Yola North LGA.

The Police said both specialize in snatching and receiving stolen tricycles.

“The suspects, during interrogation, confessed to stealing the recovered tricycle somewhere in Wauru Jabbe,” the statement added.
