Akinlabi Akinnaso, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was shot dead at a Ward Collation centre in Ondo State’s Idanre Local Government Area.
Akinnaso, also known as “Oluomo,” was killed on Sunday by an INEC Collation Centre security guard, Owena Ayetoro Idanre.
According to witnesses, the deceased got into a fight with armed personnel shortly before the winner of the House of Representatives election, Hon. Festus Akingbaso Fessywest, was given the election result sheet.
According to another source, he was shot after ignoring security personnel’s warnings not to disrupt the collation exercise.
His body was placed in the mortuary of the General Hospital in Idanre
