Engineer Babachir David Lawal has been appointed a National Patron of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard by the Global Chairman Ambassador (Dr.) Dare Owotomobi FCPA.
Engineer Lawal is an engineer, politician and a strong advocate of National unity and consensus. Babachir Lawal was born on the 2nd of October 1954 in Kwamba village of Hong local government area of Adamawa state.
Babachir lawal graduated with a B.SC in Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Engineer Babachir upon graduation worked with many organisations such as Delta Steel Company where he rose to a Senior Engineer, Nigerian External Telecommunication as Principal Engineer and Data Science Nigeria Limited as Regional Manager between 1974 and 1990. The experience, knowledge, managerial skills and competency garnered over the years prompted him to establish his own private company Rholavision Engineering Limited Kaduna.
Aside his professional and occupational transition, he nevertheless participated in communal activities within and outside his state in other to influence and contribute to positive growth in his environment. He joined politics in 2002 along with President Muhammadu Buhari and since then has continued as a staunch supporter and ally of the retired general. Engineer Lawal has continued to be on the same political pedestrian with General Muhammadu Buhari as he left the ANPP to form the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and finally to APC where he eventually achieved his Presidential ambition with the unflinching enormous unquantifiable support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu after three attempts at the Presidency.
Loyalty is one of the fundamental attribute that has endeared this gentleman to President Muhammadu Buhari and every one that has associated with him. He has proven his leadership capacity, courage and political dexterity which has manifested in challenging responsibility with great successes.
He was one of the pillar in the merger talk which successfully provided the political formation that pulled the country out of the wood and firm grip of the sixteen years maladministration of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). He has held several party portfolios such as Coordinator Buhari Campaign Organisation 2002 to 2010 in Adamawa State, member CPC National Renewal and Contact Committee 2010 to 2013, member All Progress Congress Merger Committee, member APC Presidential Campaign Committee 2015 and the Deputy Vice Chairman All Progress Congress North East.
The Success of the APC at the 2015 poll led to the appointment of Engineer Babachir David Lawal as the Secretary to the Government of the federation which entrusted challenging responsibility of governance on his shoulder.
Babachir Lawal is a man who is knitted to the fibre of community growth and national development. He is endowed with wisdom and ability to navigate the storm of life with great success recorded.
In 2007, Babachir lawal further advanced his pursuit of theological wisdom and knowledge through obtaining the Bachelor of Art (BA) in Christian Theology from the ECWA Theological Seminary, Jo’s.
Babachir Lawal is a member of the Nigeria Computer Society, the Nigeria Society of Engineers and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.
It is in appreciation of his God gifted achievement and leadership capacity that the Vanguard has found him meritorious and critical as a part of the bedrock of our aspiration of making Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu our president by May 29, 2023.
