2023: See What Hon Pius Alile Said After Losing Egor/Ikpoba-Okha APC Rep Ticket

With profound gratitude I want to appreciate everyone who in one way or the other contributed in the past few weeks, to our campaign in the quest to secure the ticket of our Party the APC for Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency for the 2023 House of Representatives Election.

Although we did not win the ticket I am immensely gratified by the huge support I got from family, friends and party members, which made our campaign on its own a huge success. With this support we were able to articulate our vision, which shall remain the guiding light of our future engagement with and service of our people. It gave traction to our determination in spite of obstacles, and helped to broaden the scope of our understanding of politics.

First of all I want to appreciate God the giver of life, good health, resources and opportunity, for his grace which made all of these available for me to participate and make impact on the electioneering process of my constituency.

My eternal gratitude goes to my wonderful wife Dr Mary Alile, Ehenekpen Nosa, Nosa Omoregbe, Princess Obozuwa, Nosa Osifo and host of others. My media team which through their selflessness, articulateness, proactivity and versatility put us in the spotlight continuously throughout the campaign. Without you we would have been like one winking in the dark. Also, I thank all my family and friends at home and in diaspora who made financial contributions to the campaign. You were the oil of the wheels that kept us going through the rough paths. And to all those who motivated me by advice and words of encouragement I give a million thanks.

I want to reassure my friends and followers that my quest to find the opportunity to represent our people in the public sphere has not come to an end. Yes, we may say that a disappointing break has occurred, but it has not broken my spirit. In due course we shall return to the voyage until we arrive destination.

Finally, let it be known though, that what I seek is not personal glorification or fortune but an opportunity to serve and deploy public resources, which I can never have the opportunity to do in my private life despite my boundless commitment. Therefore, I am bound to the fulfilment of the goal of serving our people in public office. By the grace of God and the support of the good people of our constituency, we shall prevail some other time, to the glory of God and the good of our people.

Hon. Pius Alile
APC Aspirant
Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency.
