They are certain things you do everyday that either make you more productive and energized or more lazy and sluggish. Laziness is one trait that can hinder one from becoming successful in life, this is why you need to eliminate any bad habit that would make you lazy.

So in this article, i am going to be listing some bad habits you practice that is making you lazy.

1. Always Making Excuses.

Naturally no one likes doing anything that would stress or discomfort them, this is why people easily make up excuses instead of working on their goal. Although making excuses once in a while isn’t bad, the downside comes when you allow yourself make it a habit.

You might have the best ideas or best plans in the world, but if you don’t fight the habit of making excuses then you would end up not getting any of those ideas accomplished. If you want to succeed in life you need to step out of your comfort zone, deny yourself of bodily pleasure, overcome the urge to procrastinate or make excuses and focus on accomplishing your goals.

2. Spending Too Much Time On Social Media.

Social media is like a bottomless pit and when you allow yourself fall into it, it’s very hard to come out. This is why you need to control yourself and be conscious of the time you spend on it.

When you have work to do but you give into your craving of taking a sneak peak into social media, then there is a big possibility that you are going to spend a big chunk of your time unnecessarily and end up not getting any valuable thing done for that day. So minimize the time you spend unnecessarily on social media.

3. Failing To Plan Out Your Day.

When you fail to plan then you plan to fail, this is why when you fail to make a to-do list of things you plan to accomplish in a day, you are going to end up not getting any valuable work done.

Successful men always plan out their day and this habit is what helps them stay at the top of their game. So if you want to be more productive with your time and become less lazy, start planning out your day.

4. Spending Too Much Time On Your Phone.

Your phone can either be your biggest source of distraction or your productivity plug, it all depends on how you decide to use it. The first thing some people do in the morning after waking up is to pickup their phone, but this habit is a killer of productivity.

When the first thing you do every morning is to pickup your phone, you might end up spending a big chunk of your time that could have been used to do something productive, to just swiping through your phone.

When you don’t control the way you use your phone, it is just a matter of time before you become completely lazy, this is why you need to exercise self control over the way you use your phone. Put that phone to the side and plan out your day, clean your room and get all your important work done, then you can go to your phone and spend your spare time on it.
