Edo: Group Claps Back At Shaba Over Unfounded Allegations On Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Says POI Is Way Too Clean

The Edo Concerned Citizens for Good Governance, ECCGG has clapped back at some APC party members in Ikpoba Okha LGA over their recent tales of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu reneging on a 200 million Naira donation to the Professional Drivers on Wheels (PDW) Association as led by its State Chairman, Comrade Adams Ehigiamusoe aka Shaba.

The group in a press release made available on Sunday evening and signed by its secretary, Mr Eromosele Atoe wondered how Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu could have promised such a huge sum of money for the support of the organization as alleged by Shaba and his likes.

We have watched with keen interest the concerted efforts of a few disgruntled party members in acting a funny script with the sole intent of ridiculing the APC Gubernatorial flagbearer in the Edo 2020 Governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu. It is indeed funny, laughable and ridiculous that one Adams Ehigiamusoe aka Shaba could make such a spurious and unfounded allegation against POI.

What is the extent or scope of duties to be rendered by Shaba that Pastor Ize-Iyamu would promise a whopping 200 million Naira to him? If the APC Gubernatorial candidate promises 200 million Naira to every group where would they expect him to see the resources?

While we do not want to question the sanity of Adams Ehigiamusoe, it is imperative we set the records straight. Why is Shaba coming out after a year when the elections were held to make such groundless allegations?

It is unfortunate that their loss in the recently held congress in their respective wards have turned them so bitter to the extent that they have allowed themselves to be willing tools in the hands of detractors who are hell-bent on tarnishing the unblemished records of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu unfortunately is the greatest victim of VICTIMIZATION by the current Edo state administration, he has lost his investment and properties because of his participation as the major opposition in the last Gubernatorial elections.

It is very sad that a few party members have decided to follow the path of self-destruction by deliberately fanning the embers of disunity amongst party members.

It is shameful that when these so-called self-styled leaders are supposed to come together and join hands with the party to recover the state from the lost direction it presently finds itself, instead they are hooked on blackmailing Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is not from Ikpoba Okha and has no influence whatsoever on who emerges as a ward or local government executive. Linking him to their electoral woes is despicable and reprehensible.

It would be wise if Comrade Shaba and his ill-informed likes retrace their steps and turn a new leaf. The APC in Edo state is on a journey of rejuvenation and such distractions and mischievous acts to sow the seed of hate and discord amongst party members should be discouraged by every well-meaning party member.

While we call on these recalcitrants to mind the kind of slander they indulge in because of their selfish desires we want to use this medium to thank Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu for the maturity and decency he has deployed since, after the electoral contest, his role towards the development of the party and even the state is well appreciated, he should continue his good works in keeping the party alive.
