Agba Calls On Nigerians To Love One Another And Country At Christmas

MINISTER of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, has called on Nigerians not to spare any effort in showing love to one another and to country in this season of Christmas that typifies God’s love for and joy to the world.

Agba said in a message to Christian faithful that prayers should be offered at this time to God to endue President Muhammadu Buhari and all those in authority to reflect the virtue of greater love for countrymen and women through good governance.

He stated that without love for one another, it would be difficult to foster peace in the country.
Agba said that it was because of his love for country that President Buhari committed himself to the nation’s rapid economic growth and came up with a robust national development plan.

He said the plan was envisioned to make Nigeria a leading industrializing and reforming nation in Africa that would focus on building its institutional capacity and capability, as well as fostering a private sector-led growth to help address the critical issues of jobs, wealth creation, and poverty reduction.

He recalled the launch of the new National Development Plan (2021-2025) last Wednesday shortly before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting and the passage of the 2022 budget by the National Assembly on the same day.
He said both were great feats happening the same day in the season of Christmas with love in the air.
He assured Nigerians that the remaining 17 months or thereabout that the administration would be in the saddle would witness greater transformation through the faithful implementation of the NDP and the 2022 budget.
He sued for peace by Nigerians and urged for caution against all manner of evils, including COVID-19, during the Christmas celebrations.
Agba wished all Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora as well as other nationals resident in Nigeria a Merry Christmas
