Professor Godfrey Samuel lyalomhe, Provost, College of Medicine, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, has been cleared of all blames and allegations bordering on fraud in the Nursing Science Department at the University.
The professor of medicine was exonerated and vindicated by the Administrative Panel of Investigation set up to look into the activities of the Nursing Science Department at the University.
The AAU Panel, after a thorough investigation into the case of alleged extortion and examination malpractice, absolved Professor lyalomhe of any act of impropriety, misconduct, complicity in examination malpractice and extortion of money in the Department.
An official communication letter signed by Comrade Ambrose Odiase, the University Acting Registrar, said findings of the panel indicated that the investigation into the allegation of abuse of office leveled against Professor Iyalomhe was concluded in July 2022 and found the Professor innocent and subsequently absolved him of the allegations.
The University Panel consequently declared the purported suspension and the query issued to Professor Iyalomhe null and void, having no effect.
Professor Godfrey has since been reinstated as the Provost, College of Medicine, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.
The institution has also commended Professor lyalomhe for his high integrity and commitment to upholding the values and standards of the University.
