Anxiety In Edo As Kidnappers Invade Owan Communities, Whisk Away Four Persons

NO fewer than four persons have been kidnapped in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State in the last 72 hours by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

People in Owan communities are currently facing existential security threats following the rate at which people are being held hostage in the locality without a trace.
Our source revealed that a young man named Kennedy fell victim to the kidnapping syndicate at about 5 pm two days ago by unknown gunmen along Avbiosi Uzebba road.

The source confided in Trojan.com.ng that the gunmen struck again along the same axis, abducting Dr. Aidenoje, the owner of Idonije’s hospital between Ozalla and Sabogidda Ora road.
In another development, a Local Government Council worker and the child were accosted yesterday and were whisked away to an unknown location.

Calls made to the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Philip Ogbadu, and the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) as at the time of filing this report were not responded to.

Numerous calls to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and the South-South Governors to establish security outfits to secure their people and communities against the rampaging Fulani Herdsmen and local criminals with the hundreds of billion Naira security votes have not been heeded.
