The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has condemned attack on the spokesman of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Omole.
Hon Omole escape death by the whiskers at the weekend when gunmen opened fire on his car.
Omole, who is Chairman House Committee on Information, Youths and Sports, escaped unhurt.
The Ondo APC said it was worrisome that criminal elements could launch such level of attack on a law-abiding citizen, who currently serves the Assembly.
A statement by spokesman of the party, Alex Kalejaiye, said Omole, deserved commendation and appreciation from society.
According to the statement, “Omole has made lots of personal sacrifices to ensure the development of youths and sports in the Sunshine State.
“The Ondo APC urges security agencies to put their skills to demonstration, and ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and adequately punished, to deter others, and guide against future occurrence.
“We also call for improvement in the security arrangements across the state, to tame desperate players/ actors, as we march towards 2023 general elections
