Entrepreneur, Stephen Akintayo, on Sunday said National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and presidential hopeful, Bola Tinubu, should be thanked in the event a Southern presidential flagbearer of the ruling party emerges.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the APC Northern Governors and political leaders last night backed power rotation to the South.
Similarly, President Muhammadu Buhari supported the emergence of a southerner as a president in 2023.
Reacting to the intrigues relating to the APC Presidential Primaries scheduled to commence tomorrow (Monday), Akintayo said Tinubu “already got a lot of the delegates in his pocket”, and his valor contributed to the preference for the South by APC heavyweights.

My last Post was not Against Your Candidate but to teach all of us a lesson .
As of before his speech and even as of today; Tinubu is the candidate to beat in APC. He is the frontline candidate any day or time. The only thing that change the equation is his speech which came offensive to @dapoabiodunmfr and to many Northern Delegate as they saw it insulting to @muhammadubuhari and even sensibility of some South West Delegates too.
If he fail to pick the ticket on Tuesday it will be because of that speech , No Matter the earlier Schemings , he already got a lot of the delegates in his pocket because of the many governors behind him, the speech left bitter taste even in the mouth of his Northern Supporters .
However, let’s all wait and see how Tuesday will turn out. But let me say this clearly. If southern Nigeria Gets APC Ticket , @officialasiwajubat remain the person to thank even if the ticket was not given to him.
Many Southern Candidate are willing to betray their own, Same way they did in PDP Primary. I Personally wanted A South East Candidate to Win PDP primaries but even the South Eastern Delegates refuse to vote their own. Out of the 5 states, 2 voted Atiku and 2 voted Wike. This again proof that your enemy is not from outside but inside . The Enemy of Southern Politicians is not Northern Politicians but same southern politicians . It is even Northern Governors in APC who have agreed to vote a southerner now.
