ASUU, AAU, Ekpoma has directed all its members to comply with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) resolve to go on a national strike with effect from 12:00midnight Monday, November 13th.
In a notice to members, Dr. Cyril Oziegbe Onogbosele, Chairperson, ASUU, AAU, Ekpoma said: “Consequently, as an affiliate of NLC, ASUU National has resolved and directed that all members of the Union in the various branches should comply with the directive to embark on the aforesaid strike.
“For the avoidance of doubt, all members of ASUU, AAU, Ekpoma Chapter should participate in the strike fully by withdrawing their statutory services to the University and staying away from the University Campus or workplace.”
Going further, Onogbosele said that “compliance with the directive on the strike will be monitored.”
