The rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Dr Salisu S Umar, has congratulated the staff and students of Edo State University, Uzairue on the occasion of their 4th Convocation ceremony.
Speaking via his Official Facebook page, the rector said he celebrate the achievements of the institution which is indeed a world class.
I celebrate the graduands who through hard work and diligence in their studies made it today. The journey is often a long, exhausting exercise, but certainly a fruitful and rewarding journey for each student. I congratulation you all.
I also want to salute the erudite scholar and quintessential Journalist and Administrator, Prof. Tonnie Iredia who delivered a very incisive Convocation Lecture titled: “Fake News: Rethinking The Role of Mainstream and Social Media in National Development”. The topic was indeed timely, giving the media landscape in Nigeria today. 
I thank the Vice Chancellor of Edo State University, Prof. Engr. Emmanuel Aluyor and his entire management team for the recognition and privilege to be the Guest of Honour and the Award of Excellence (received on my behalf by the Deputy Rector – Admin, Dr. Bamidele Agbadua) bestowed on me on the occasion of the 4th Convocation ceremony that held today. This is sure the beginning of more and exciting collaborations for our institutions.
