The Balogun Mumini of Yorubaland, Alhaji Rasheed Adesokan, is dead.
DAILY POST learnt that the retired captain died on Saturday while receiving treatment at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan according to sources.
Until his death, Adesokan was the Baale of Bodija in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Details of his burial have not been announced by the family.
A source close to the deceased’s family, in a short statement obtained by DAILY POST, said, “Inalillah waina ilaehi rojiun.
“Baale Rasheed Adesokan, Balogun Mumini of Yorubaland, died today 3rd of Ramadan at UCH.
“May Allah blot out his sins accept his multifarious and multidimensional acts of Ibadah and reward him with jannat Firdaous”.
