Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo state and the members of the state House of Assembly may be in a collision course over presentation of refurbished Mitsubishi Pajero vehicles to the lawmakers as their official cars.
Infopowerng gathered that the reason for the showdown is that the lawmakers are angry that the governor could stood so low after he collected N1.5 billion from the state treasury for the same purpose.
Drama was said to have started on the 9th of November when about nine of the said vehicles were driven into the speaker’s residence at the legislative quarters along Ihama road, G.R.A, Benin City as part of the first batch for onward delivery to the legislators.
To their surprise, they found out that the vehicles were not what was on papers (Toyota Prado) rather they saw a refurbished Mitsubishi Pajero SUV.
It was learnt that efforts by the lawmakers to get the attention of the governor and speakers on this development have not been successful.
