Eden Hazard, the former Chelsea player and Belgium international has announced his retirement from professional football.
He made this known on his social media handle on Tuesday, October 10th.
Hazard has spent over 16 years in professional football and played more than 700 matches. He has also played for clubs like, LOSC, Chelsea, Real Madrid and RBFA his Belgian Selection.
His appreciation post reads:

“After 16 years and more than 700 matches played, I have decided to end my career as a professional footballer.”
“I was able to realise my dream, I have played and had fun on many pitches around the world.”
