BREAKING: Jubilation As Edo Govt Resolves Long-Awaited Induction of New Medical Doctors From Ambrose Alli University

The Edo State Government has announced the much-anticipated induction of 128 new medical doctors from Ambrose Alli University (AAU). The induction is scheduled for February 13, 2025. This resolution was revealed during a meeting in Abuja with Dr. Fatima Kyari, Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, attended by Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, the state’s Commissioner for Education.

Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, the Commissioner of Education, expressed gratitude to Dr. Kyari for her support in facilitating this significant milestone for the graduates. He also reassured the students of the commitment of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo to their welfare and professional journey.

This resolution comes after a protest by the students on January 9, where they blocked the Benin-Ekpoma road seeking swift action regarding their long-awaited induction, which had been pending since their graduation last August.

Accompanying Dr. Paddy is Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel, Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University, highlighting the university’s dedication to addressing the concerns of its graduates. This induction marks a pivotal moment for the new medical professionals as they prepare to embark on their careers in the medical field.
