In a significant political development, Mr Teddy Adewumi, a former PDP chieftain, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the Ibillo Ward 4 rally in Akoko Edo, Edo State. Adewumi’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is declared as a major setback for the opposition party in the local government.
Speaking at the rally, Adewumi expressed his confidence in the APC and its ability to move Edo State forward. “We are now in the APC to join the move to take Edo State to greater heights,” he declared. Adewumi, known for his pragmatic approach, emphasized that he was not one to make empty promises but rather a man of action.
Adewumi pledged that if the APC candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is elected in the upcoming gubernatorial election, Ibillo will witness a massive transformation. He urged the people of Ibillo and Akoko Edo to throw their support behind Okpebholo, expressing his belief in the candidate’s capacity to deliver prosperity for the state.
