Two time member of the Federal House of Representatives and frontline Edo 2024 governorship aspirant, Hon. (Barr.) Deacon Sergius Ose Ogun has formally withdrawn his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party.
In a carefully worded resignation letter personally signed by the former federal legislator and addressed to the PDP chairman of Ward 10 in Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo state.
Hon. Sergius Ogun who expressed profound gratitude to the party for giving him the privilege to serve in the Federal House of Representatives for two terms stated that “recent development within the party has made my continuous participation and contribution to nation building untenable”.
Feelers from the Edo Central Senatorial District suggest that the news of the resignation of Hon. Sergius Ogun from PDP has sent shock waves to members of the former national ruling party in the area as the Oracle of Rural Development is believed to be one of the great pillars behind the success of the party in all elections in Agbazilo in the last two decades.
