Senator Monday Okpebholo, All Progressive Congress APC governorship Candidate in Edo State, has made significant contributions to support the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN). Speaking to farmers in the state, Okpebholo expressed his commitment to the development of the agricultural sector, stating, “Edo is ripe for redemption, and I am the best candidate to lead the state.”
Okpebholo pledged to secure the state and enable farmers to work without fear. He promised to provide farmers with loans and equipment to boost their productivity, in contrast with the “lies” of the current administration. The senator also committed to bringing in fertilizer company and industries to create employment opportunities for the people of Edo.
As part of his support, Okpebholo donated a bus and 2.5 million naira to the farmers.
The patron of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Edo State chapter, Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhikhe, welcomed the senator’s gesture and urged farmers to support him, assuring them that under Okpebholo’s leadership, they would receive the necessary support.
Okpebholo also highlighted his other achievements in Esan land, including assisting farmers with agricultural inputs, empowering market women, and providing security vehicles to ensure farmers’ safety. He pledged to continue his efforts to improve the lives of the people, particularly in the agricultural sector.
