In a significant move, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, today inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the Benin-Auchi road, a critical transportation artery in Edo State.

Speaking during the inspection, Senator Okpebholo expressed his delight at the level and quality of work being done on the road. He acknowledged that the road had been in a deplorable state for years, making it almost impassable for motorists. However, the ongoing reconstruction efforts have brought a sigh of relief to the residents, as the traffic congestion in Ekpoma has now been alleviated.

Commending the President for the reconstruction project, Senator Okpebholo emphasized that the people who are attempting to politicize the issue do not fully understand the importance of such infrastructure development. He stated, “Those who are trying to attach this project to politics simply do not know what they are saying. This road has been in a terrible condition for a long time, and it is the responsibility of the government to address such pressing issues.”

Okpebholo further highlighted his track record of developing and empowering the people, stating that the true essence of democracy is to ensure the happiness and well-being of the citizens.

He recalled his meeting with President Tinubu, along with Senator Adams Oshiomole, and the Niger Delta Minister, Hon. Abubakar Momoh, where they had appealed for the reconstruction of the Benin-Auchi road.
