Buhari Reconstitutes Governing Councils Of Federal Polytechnics And Colleges Of Education [See Two Edo That Made The List]

The President Muhammadu Buhari has in line with their enabling laws reconstituted the Governing Councils of the 25 Federal Polytechnics and 21 Colleges of Education, in the country.

In a statement, Arch Sonny Echono, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja said that for the Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Akwa Ibom state, the President appointed a 5-member Governing Council, chaired by Chief Yemi Sanusi.

The statement said Hon Yahaya Garba (Niger), Bashir Kazaure (Jigawa), Tunde Oladunoye (Ogun) and Hon Chris Azebamwan, the Edo State Publicity Secretary of the ruling APC were also appointed as members of the Governing council.

For the governing council of the Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure, Jigawa State, the statement said the President also appointed Hon Ali Hussaini as chairman.

It said that other members of the Governing council are Dr Timothy Ornguga (Benue), Hon Sani Mafara (Member) and Alhaji Isa Jibrin (Niger) and Chief Francis Omoh, the Edo state Welfare Secretary of the APC.

In the statement, Arch Echono, the Permanent Secretary said that all the councils will be formally inaugurated by the Education Minister Mallam Adamu Adamu on Tuesday 20th April 2021 at the National Universities Commission Auditorium, Abuja.
