The immediate past Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami (SAN) has made his first public appearance months after leaving power.

Malami, from Kebbi state, was regarded as one of the most powerful officials in the immediate past administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The former AGF visited Government House, Birnin Kebbi, to congratulate his state governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, on his victory over the opposition at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

The former minister was among the early callers at the Government House to celebrate his victory with Dr Nasir Idris.

While speaking with journalists at the Government House, Malami described the victory as well-deserved.

His words: “The victory of Governor Idris is a clear indication that he is the right person to rule this state. We hope this verdict will spur His Excellency to double his efforts in the good work he is doing for the betterment of the masses, especially in the areas of agriculture, health, education, and security, among other sectors.”

He urged the good people of Kebbi State to keep on praying for the governor to continue with the good deeds he has started.
