Catholic Priests At Shettima’s Unveiling: “Who’s Fooling Who?” – Adeyanju

A former Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Deji Adeyanju, on Wednesday questioned the genuineness of the Catholic priests present at the official unveiling of Kashim Shettima as the Vice-Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Adeyanju insinuated that the unidentified persons dressed in robes at the event in Abuja earlier today were imposters hired by Bola Tinubu, the presidential flagbearer of the ruling party.

“Religion does not matter in a multi-religious nation but you had to get unknown bishops to legitimize your Muslim-Muslim ticket. Who’s fooling who?” Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle.

In a similar vein, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter, has described the presence of bishops at the official unveiling of Shettima, the running mate to the presidential candidate of the APC as another “Nollywood movie”.

Rev. John Joseph Hayab, the state CAN chairman, explained that Christians in Nigeria would not lose sleep following the Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket in the 2023 election.
