The Chairman of the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOPADEC), Francis Osaretin Osabuohien has lauded the resilience and contributions of women in Edo State in celebration of International Women’s Day.
Osabuohien acknowledged the pivotal role women play in fostering social, economic, and cultural development in the society.
Osabuohien noted that women in Edo State have continually demonstrated strength and innovation, often balancing multiple roles as caregivers, professionals, and leaders.
Osabuohien encouraged women to continue breaking barriers and pursuing opportunities, stressing that the progress of society largely depends on the elevation of women’s status.
He reiterated the importance of collaboration between government and women’s organizations to create a conducive environment for growth and development.
