Davido Breaks Silence, Drops New Album Thriller

After a little more than four months of taking a break from music and social media activities following the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, Afrobeats star, Davido, returned on Tuesday, March 21.

He returned like he never left as he announced the incoming and fourth studio album title, ‘Timeless’ with a thriller that also captured some electrifying moments from his past events.

Introducing his incoming body of work, O.B.O stressed on the different times and seasons that life avails every individual.

“There is a time for everything. A time to grieve and a time to heal. A time to laugh and a time to dance. A time to speak and a time for silence.

“We have tall the choice to do this in our own time. But thank God I’m grounded by your love which is ‘timeless’”, he could be heard saying while the video played.

He reiterated his stance even more so in the caption of his post which he shared on his Twitter and Instagram pages while also appreciating the undiluted love and prayers showered on him by his fans.

He added: “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak & A time for Silence. Recently, Davido left the online community wondering after he deleted his profile photos with all the other posts on his Twitter and Instagram pages.

He, however, left only three posts on his Instagram page which holds pictures of his deceased son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The second post holds photos of the singer getting ready for the World Cup closing ceremony with his wife, Chioma adjusting his clothing.

And the last post displayed pictures of the DMW boss’ performance with other musical acts during their enthralling performance of the tournament theme song, “Hayya Hayya (Better Together) at the closing ceremony of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Before that singular move by Davido, his lovers and well-wishers, including celebrities prayed and begged for his return to social media activities.

In diverse ways, the singer’s fans showed him how much they loved him and also missed having him on social media platforms following his inactiveness as a result of his son’s passing.

Albeit, the ‘Stand Strong’s crooner promised to return in March with great sounds for his fans and music lovers alike and he kept to his words and he made a grand comeback on Tuesday.
