“I am not the impressionistic type, the Lord asked me to contest the Governorship seat, I have peace of mind following the directive of God…”
The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro hinted this during his thanksgiving service for his successful outing in the Governorship race.
The Thanksgiving service held at the Christ Embassy Church, Airport Road, Warri on Sunday.
Quoting from Thessalonians 5:16-18 that said “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus,” Otuaro said it is with this understanding that he decided to thank God for leading him and his campaign train all through the past months while criss crossing the length and breath of the state to canvass for votes.
Though he did not clinch the PDP Governorship ticket, H.E Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro said he has every reason to thank God who instructed him to join the race.
He noted that having obeyed the instructions of God, he has inner fulfilment and peace.
“I cannot thank God enough, the one that created the heaven and earth, i stand before every man to testify the goodness of God.
“Kings and kingdoms have come and passed away, he is the Lord that dealt with kings and kingdoms. The God who dealt with empires and emperors that have all come and gone away but he remains on His throne…
“I am so fulfilled in my spirit. I have never been fulfilled like this before, for those who truly know me, I am not the impressionistic type, I am fulfilled in my spirit because the Lord God Almighty told me to go for the Governorship elections which i did,” Otuaro stated.
The State Deputy Governor said he is grateful to God because he has made him the centre of attraction.
Otuaro went down memory lane on how God saved him from death that could have been caused by plane crash, adding that that is one testimony out of many.
The ministry head, Evang. Eddy Owase emphasized that God created man for a purpose, adding that everyone needs to find that purpose and fulfil it.
The man of God described H.E Barrister Kingsley Otuaro as an asset to the state who has proven not to be in the race for personal gains, who against all odds stood his ground to obey God.
He noted that it takes men of courage, wisdom and integrity to stand for God.
At the venue of the reception which is the home of the Deputy Governor, guests were treated to a warm reception as he thanked all who stood by him during his Governorship race.
