Despite The Public Notice From Edo APC, Oshiomhole Latest Attempt To Dabble With The Screening Committee’s Report Sparks Outcry

In a surprising turn of events, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has rejected the screening report from a committee he set up for the Edo State APC gubernatorial aspirants. This decision has ignited controversy within the party and raised questions about the motives behind such a move.

One glaring aspect of this unfolding drama is the involvement of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who, despite being a key supporter of Oshiomhole’s political career, now finds himself targeted by Oshiomhole’s attempts to prevent him from becoming the next Governor of Edo State. Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu not only supported Oshiomhole’s governorship aspirations with financial resources but also with his social capital and a political structure built over the years. Oshiomhole, once supported by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has now become a thorn in his flesh and a source of contention among the Edo people, who have grown weary of Oshiomhole’s antics.

Adding to the complexity is the revelation that Oshiomhole is allegedly in cahoots with Obaseki. This clandestine partnership involves dubious deals and agreements aimed at exploiting the state’s resources through business arrangements. Oshiomhole, left out in the cold after a fallout with Obaseki some years ago, is now attempting to reclaim his share of the loot by aligning strategically with him (Obaseki) and his preferred aspirant. The desperation is palpable, especially as Oshiomhole faces financial challenges.

Oshiomhole’s motives are under scrutiny, as he is accused of collaborating with Obaseki and other APC aspirants to undermine Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, all for his own personal gains. The intricate web of alliances and betrayals paints a vivid picture of Oshiomhole’s desperation and financial struggles. Despite the public notice from Edo APC that Oshiomhole’s attempt to remove Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s name from the screening committee’s list was false, which was all just to save face, reliable reports reaching us has it that Oshiomhole has launched another nocturnal attempt to scuttle a process he initiated. This time, he is contacting some committee members, coercing them to issue press statements and grant interviews and allegedly bribing them with millions of naira provided by some allies of his, to fabricate information or reasons why the recommendation of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Gen. Charles Arhiavbere should be expunged.

As Oshiomhole fights to reject the committee’s report, specifically targeting the inclusion of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s name, it raises eyebrows about his intentions and the potential harm to the party’s chances in the upcoming elections. Oshiomhole’s actions have triggered an uproar across Edo State, portraying him as undemocratic and unscrupulous.

The controversy surrounding the rejection of the screening committee’s report and Oshiomhole’s intrigues has brought Edo State to a critical juncture. The upcoming APC primaries and Edo elections in September will undoubtedly be a litmus test for the party’s resilience and the people’s commitment to genuine leadership. As the drama unfolds, Edo eagerly awaits the outcome of this gripping political narrative.

Additionally, there is a call for our dear President Bola Amed Tinubu to call Oshiomhole to order before he completely destroys Edo State APC. It is evident from the anger and uprising, especially after the fact that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu scored first on the list of aspirants who were screened. Oshiomhole has proven himself to be a danger to democracy and his ascribing omnipotent power to himself needs to be curbed for the sake of the state’s future.

Yes, it is very clear that Oshiomhole has sleepless nights over the thought of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu becoming the next governor of Edo State. However, looking at the kind of crowd that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu pulls across Edo State, and his deep connection with the people, it is evident that he is who the Edo people want as their next governor.

But the question is, why is Oshiomhole afraid of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu?

  1. What is this NONSENSE? Why are you people doing this? Is Oshiomole the one to pick candidate for the Party?
If you are campaigning for POI please do but don’t employ the tactics of blackmail and gestapo moves. It will do no one no good.
