There is a worrisome development coming out from Edo State, this time around the Deputy Speaker Edo State House Of Assembly, Hon Roland Asoro has been dragged out by residents of the state over his lackluster attitude towards the pitiable state of his personal assistant,Ehis Prince Iyen.
The personal assistant to the Deputy Speaker is said to be a die-hard supporter of Hon Roland Asoro and has passed through all the hurdles alongside the Deputy Speaker that has helped him sufficiently in his political career.
An age-old traditional proverb says “It is because of loyalty that a dog walk with its master in rain”
According to residents who have taken to social media platforms in seeking assistance for the young man who has been diagnosed with Chronic Clinic Disease the Deputy Speaker, Hon Asoro has completely abandoned the young man to die in pain.
Ehis Prince Iyen is said to be too loyal to the Deputy Speaker for him to be abandoned because of just 15million Naira needed for a kidney transplant.
The reactions from respondents towards the alleged betrayal of trust by Hon Asoro towards Ehis Iyen is the number one trend on social media today.
Let us take some comments as monitored on different social media platforms over the pathetic state of a loyal boy and his influential master.
“Ogbeni as a Deputy Speaker EDHA should Nigerians wake up and hear of such stories as regards his personal assistant? Why can’t the so-called Hon help speak to His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki so at least the state can help see to the end of this young man’s plight?
What is the essence of this boy laboring for his party leaders and in the end they cant be of help to him?
A Facebook user was more RAW with his statement,
These so-called politicians are funny people if truly na him PA then what a shame, these people if they go to Abuja they are the same ones that would lodge underage girls in room 417 and thereafter bless them with huge sums of money, but they will come back to Benin and sign up as the treasurer of Stingy Men Association Of Nigeria.
May God hear the prayers of Ehis and bring a helper to his rescue in Jesus Name.”
This other statement is loud as well.
“If a personal assistant to a senior government official as the Deputy Speaker could treat his own personal aide like this then who on earth can this man help? Someone that comes from his constituency and has labored so hard and slaved for him.
This is a case of a man who does not even know if his subjects exist. You don’t earn loyalty in a day. You earn loyalty day-by-day.”
The comments were really not palatable at all and it brings the issue to the fore that youths should start thinking inwards and improve on themselves and forget these politicians that are heartless and immune to the plight of sufferings of their constituents.
Staying with someone that doesn’t appreciate you isn’t loyalty, it’s stupidity. ~ old African proverb.
As we speak the constituents of Orhionmwon have vowed to recall the deputy speaker if anything at all happens to Ehis.
We use this medium to call on the State Governor, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, and the good people of Edo State to come to this young man’s rescue and help ameliorate his pains by donating for his kidney transplant.
