A leading APC governorship aspirant in Edo state and former permanent secretary in the ministry of Agriculture and ruler development, Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Oyo state government and the families of the victims affected by the tragic explosion in Ibadan. The incident, which occurred yesterday resulted in loss of lives and property.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Dr Umakhihe expressed sorrow at the devastating accident and emphasized the importance of standing in solidarity with the affected families and Oyo state government during this difficult time. He conveyed his thoughts and prayers to those who lost their loved ones, urging for strength and comfort in the face of such a profound tragedy.
Dr Umakhihe also called for the implementation of necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
Dr Umakhihe urged the relevant interventionist agencies to come to the aid of the victims saying, “I urged the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other humanitarian groups to quickly assist the victims to ease the pain of their losses.
