The chairman Edo state Assets Verification Committee, Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe was honored yesterday by the Afuze-Emai Development Association, receiving a merit award for his “Outstanding Infrastructural Development in Emai.”
The prestigious accolade was received on his behalf by Comrade Joshua Iraoya during a ceremony held at Havana Hotels and Gardens in Afuze.
In recognition of his significant contributions to the growth and development of Emai land, the community also unveiled a road named “Ernest Umakhihe Way,” a 2-kilometer stretch dedicated to his efforts.
This honor reflects not only his commitment to infrastructural advancement but also his positive impact on the lives of the residents.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Umakhihe expressed his gratitude for the award and the recognition from the community.
He acknowledged the collective efforts of all who collaborated in fostering development in Emai and reiterated his commitment to continue working towards the progress of the community.
