Dr. Ernest Umakhihe Receives Food Security Advocates Award at 2024 Agro-Trade Investment Summit

Abuja, Nigeria – Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, a distinguished leader, has been honored with the Food Security Advocates Award at the 2024 African Women and Youths in Agro-trade Investment Summit in Abuja. This accolade recognizes his outstanding contributions to agriculture and food security, particularly during his tenure as the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

The award was presented by Ambassador Jerry Agala, the convener of the summit, who praised Dr. Umakhihe for his transformative impact on Nigeria’s agricultural sector. Ambassador Agala highlighted Dr. Umakhihe’s efforts in driving policies and initiatives that help bolster food security across the nation.

Representing Dr. Umakhihe, Raymond Imoudu expressed gratitude to the organizers for the recognition. “Dr. Umakhihe is deeply honored to receive this award and appreciates the acknowledgment of his dedication to advancing agriculture and food security in Nigeria,” Imoudu stated.

Adding to the recognition, Dr. Umakhihe was also featured in the quarterly edition of the Food Security Magazine, where his achievements and vision was spotlighted.
