The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Paddy Iyamu on Friday generously distributed bags of rice to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oredo Local Government in Edo State, in celebration of Christmas.
Speaking, Dr. Iyamu expressed gratitude to the APC leaders in Oredo for their unwavering support during the last governorship election, emphasizing that their dedication and resilience were key to the party’s success. He remarked, “Without your support, your tireless efforts, we wouldn’t be in government and I wouldn’t have the privilege of serving as Chairman of SUBEB.”
Former House of Assembly member, Hon. Chris Okaeben, praised Dr. Iyamu, referring to him as a “Messiah” for his willingness to invest his personal resources to ensure APC’s victory in the recent election. He noted that despite his significant contributions, Dr. Iyamu remains humble and treats everyone equally.
Additionally, the Ward 10 chairman presented a token of appreciation to Dr. Iyamu for his continuous support to the party at both the ward and local government levels.
Oredo Ward 8 Chairman, Sunday Omoregie Irabor, honored Dr. Iyamu, comparing him to the late Captain Hosa, stating that he embodies the same spirit of compassion and commitment that Captain Hosa showed during his lifetime.
The event culminated in special prayers for Dr. Iyamu along with the presentation of gifts, marking a festive occasion rooted in gratitude and celebration within the APC family.
