COMMUNIQUE OF THE MEETING OF PDP EDO NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT ELDERS FORUM.
A meeting of Edo North Senatorial District Elders Forum was held on Sunday, 19th November 2023, at the residence of H.E. Chief (Dr) Mike Oghiadomhe, CFR, to examine the current political dynamics in Edo State with particular reference to the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
The Forum is concerned about the seeming tension arising and appeals to all stakeholders across the three senatorial districts to be statesmanly and patriotic in dealing with the issues in the overiding interest of the state.
Consequently, the Forum resolved as follows :-
1. The Forum affirms its belief in the principle of zoning/rotation as enshrined in the 1999 PDP constitution( as amended)
2. The Forum, accordingly, calls on all stakeholders in Edo State to respect the PDP Constitution as laid down by our forebearers to sustain equity, peace, justice, inclusiveness, fairness, brotherhood, and geo-political balance.
