Bordered by the cry of the common man in the streets of Benin City, reflecting on the hardship melted on Nigerians and trying to figure out ways to make life better for Nigerians particularly the Edo State citizens living within the state. I left my car and decided to join commercial vehicles to trek where applicable while spending my weekend (June 8 & 9, 2024) going round some areas of Benin City.
The work ahead is enormous let alone continuing the ongoing governmental projects and sustaining them. The first question that struck my mind as I heard the commercial bus driver shouted “Oga pay your money come”, was who can make Edo State great? Here, I concluded that sentiment, relationship, skin colour, etc has no relevance if we actually need a better and greater Edo State.
I have carefully listened to political campaigns and some keep insulting or talking down the plans or deeds of opponent and their respective political party. My question to you is, will that change the situation? Let us consider the background (academically and/or other factors such as successful business management ability to generate funds, work experience, academic level, etc) of all the governorship candidate; what’s your opinion.
Dear friends, the choice is ours but as it is written in the Holy Bible, “…choose ye who you will serve…” It is left for us to choose from the available candidates but as for me and my household Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie is our choice. For those who wish to accept and support our choice, vote for PDP.
