Director of Media, Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie’s Diaspora Support Movement, United Kingdom branch, Mr. Omorodion Kadiri said Philip Shaibu, the impeached Deputy Governor of Edo State has lost his political relevance after his impeachment last month by the State House of Assembly.
Mr. Omorodion said Philip Shaibu has been a political liability to Governor Godwin Obaseki having lost all the elections conducted in his polling unit, ward, local government area, the entire three Etsako local government areas, as well as the six local government areas of Edo North Senatorial District since he betrayed and parted ways with his benefactor, Senator Adams Oshiomhole.
“The recent claims that Philip Shaibu is still causing troubles for Governor Obaseki and his team are nothing but a desperate attempt to distract voters from the real issues. Shaibu’s impeachment and replacement by Mr. Marvelous Omobayo Godwin as Deputy Governor put an end to his controversial tenure.
