Edo APC Deny Disqualifying Gubernatorial Aspirants

The APC in Edo State has denied reports of aspirants being screened or disqualified in the governorship race.

A committee led by Julius Ihonvbere, established to reduce aspirant numbers, it clarified as advisory, aims to ensure a smoother primary in February.

The State Publicity Secretary, Peter Uwadiae, who refuted the claims of disqualifications, emphasized the committee’s role in facilitating communication with aspirants.

He encouraged a talking relationship to aid those considering exiting the race, highlighting lthe ongoing sale of forms, costing N10 million for expression and N40 million for nomination, with more aspirants expected.

He then assured of a commitment to unity, fair play, and democracy within the party, urging members to remain calm and avoid internal discord as they approach the polls.
