As Nigerians across the globe celebrate the former President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and former Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on his 72nd birthday anniversary, the Edo state governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, describes him as an audacious leader and a shining light.
Okpebholo, who represents Edo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, says Oshiomhole is a strong pillar whose leadership, vision, and commitment to a united prosperous Edo state and Nigeria cannot be overemphasized.
In a statement personally signed by the APC gubernatorial candidate and made available to journalists, Okpebholo stated, “Sir, you’re a courageous, audacious, and passionate leader who’s committed to the progress, growth, and development of his people in Edo North, Edo state, and Nigeria, and this you have demonstrated in various leadership positions you held.
“I join your family, well-wishers, the people of Edo North, Edo people, and well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate you on your 72nd birthday.
“Particularly, I wish to acknowledge and commend your leadership, vision, and commitment to a united prosperous Nigeria, which you demonstrated as the national chairman of our great party. Your love and struggle for the masses were also demonstrated when you held office as the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), and now, as Senator representing your very people of Edo North Senatorial District. I acknowledge your contributions to our dear state as governor through your insightful and resolute developmental initiatives that cut across the entire local government area.
“As I rejoice with you, as the candidate of the party in which you’re our leader, I also reaffirm my commitment to consolidate on your achievements, implement programs that would strengthen the capacities of our state to create jobs, stimulate economic activity, reduce inequality, and diminish poverty when elected as governor.
“Once again, congratulations and Happy Birthday Your Excellency, Distinguished Senator Comrade Adams Oshiomhole,” the statement said.
