The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Edo State Col David Imuse RTD, has described the shooting on Tuesday morning of Mr. ThankGod Iduseri, as unfortunate.
ThankGod Iduseri, is a sibling of one of the APC witnesses at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja over a case of forgery and perjury preferred against Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state.
In a statement signed by the Assistant State Publicity Secretary of the party Mr Victor Ofure Osehobo, Col Imuse said, “I think there’s absolutely no place in the marketplace of ideas for threats of violence against any person, especially those with divergent political belief”.
The Edo APC chairman said: “Disagreement on political issues should not lead to acts of violence. We call on Nigerians to roundly condemn this dastardly act and urge the security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book.”
