The All Progressives Congress (APC) held a well-attended campaign shutdown in Sabogida Ora, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State, as part of their ongoing ward-to-ward outreach. The event was graced by the presence of former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, who highlighted the differences between this election and previous ones.
Oshiomhole stated that in the past, Obaseki’s thugs had intimidated APC supporters, but this time, the Inspector General of Police has disbanded the Edo Security Network.
He warned that anyone caught with arms will be arrested and taken to Abuja. Oshiomhole also condemned the recent attack on APC members by thugs sent by the Esan West Local Government Executive Chairman, who is now cooling off in Abuja.
APC governorship candidate , Senator Monday Okpebholo, while addressing the crowd, charged the people of Sabogida Ora to vote for the APC, as it guarantees good governance, good roads, schools with the employment of teachers, and the restoration of their electricity supply.
