The All Progressive Congress (APC) In Etsako East LGA of Edo state is worried about the increasing insecurity with the axis of Weppa/Ekperi road and Owano/Fugar road known as Obe-hill as well as Okpella/Okene expressway which has become a nightmare to the people.
The party said the government Should be concerned about the situation and not covid-19 vaccination which is been forced on Edo People by the governor.
The proclamation by the governor of Edo state that he intends to prevent the citizens of Edo from gathering in many activities if covid-19 vaccine is not administered on individuals before the middle of September this year took many citizens by stun.
The above concern was expressed in a statement by Etsako East APC publicity secretary Comrade Idodo Abdulrasak Emmanuel Ikpemoghena
Idodo said N700,000,000 (Seven hundred million Naira) Monthly Security votes when divided by 18 LGA council, Etsako East will have approximately N39,000,000 (Thirty nine Million Naira) monthly to combat insecurity challenges through the traditional rulers, Local Vigilantees and in combination with Government security agencies”.
“Etsako East was progressive and peaceful in time past but you have choosen to make life miserable for the people . We warned our people not to listen to your cheap political blackmail of godfatherism, propaganda and fake promises but they didn’t hear us even when it was obvious you failed woefully in your first four (4) years in office as the Governor of Edo State”.
“Mr Governor Godwin Obaseki, our people are asking you to declare war on bad roads, maternities, street lights, boreholes and food insecurity not Covid-19 vaccine. Yes, we need to be vaccine but not by the coercive method you are trying to inflict on all and sundry and I doubt if you will succeed”.
“Mr Governor we have not seen the mini stadium in St. Peter Secondary School Agenebode, we have not seen the new Airport in Okpella as a matter of fact there is no presence of your government in Etsako East for the past five (5)years you’ve been in the office. It is shameful seing other Governors commissioning projects but you are busy commissioning Threat and war on the good people of Etsako East and the state at large. Please get back to work as your tenure will soon be over just like your failed first team in office”.
